The Sergeant at Arms (SAA) is seeking a Graphic Designer #659. This position creates and designs a variety of print projects including, but not limited to, Badges, Branding, Booklets, Books, Brochures, Business Cards, Cards, Certificates, Comment Cards, Congressional Records, Constituent Cards, Emergency Quick Cards, Envelopes, Flyers, Graphics, Graphs, Infographics, Logos, Journals, Labels, Maps, Memo Pads, Name Cards/Tents, Notecards, Newsletters, Pamphlet, Phone cards, Plaques, Pocket Cards, Pocket Folder, Post Cards, Public Law, Postcards, Red-Line, Resolutions, Scans, Self-Mailers, Stationery, Tabs, Tags, Travel Booklets, Town Hall Meetings, Welcome to Washington Booklets, and various others. Create and design artwork for large format printing including but not limited to, State Office Signage, Backdrops, Banners, Event Signage, Floor Charts, Wall Murals, and Window Decals. Create and design a variety of digital media projects including, social media ads, interactive PDFs, Email designs, animated gifs, and fillable forms. Create e-Publications that include interactive maps, video, hyperlinks, scrolling frames, page buttons, pop-ups, and other interactivity. Consults with Senate offices, Committees, and support offices to discuss project and expectations. Graphic Designers must take extensive notes and listens to the customer’s ideas, thoughts, and expected use for the project, and make recommendations based on the customers specifications. Complete yearly training to stay up to date on the latest updates on graphic design software programs, and graphic design trends. Prepares proofs for review by Senate customers; edits proofs based on customer revisions; proofreads text and layouts; corrects errors. Other duties as assigned.
